The MARKET La Brea Flagship was designed to emulate a minimalistic art gallery to allow the colorful and graphic collection from MARKET to stand out. Designed in a modular way the shop offers infinite ways to configure the space to serve each of the capsule/collab collection drops throughout the year. The centerpiece is a “room within a room” space that has been designed for full campaign takeovers. With curved walls for continuous floor to ceiling graphics and floating apparel displays the room allows for a new immersive experience to be created for each campaign. Throughout the space minimal and industrial details are used to provide functionality, flexibility and a contemporary visual language. Custom furniture such as a slanted shelving unit allows graphic T-shirts to be displayed in an impactful way. The shelving units construction and shape has been reduced down to the absolute minimum required to fill its function - thus providing a visually light impression.
